Kumarakom  
Enclosed between the paddy fields of Kuttanad and the majestic lake of Vembanad. Kumarakom today is home of hundreds of migratory birds. Birds such as Water ducks, Cuckoos, Siberian Storkes, make Kumarakom their peaceful home. A cruise, in a houseboat on the backwater, along the banks of Kumarakom, is an unforgettable experience. Kodanad
Kerala, is famous for its elephants and at Kodanad, is one of the largest elephant capturing camps and training centers in India, it is on the southern banks of Periyar river, amid the beautiful high ranges. The wild elephants captured from the forest are trained and prepared for domestic use. Huge cages have been set up for this purpose. It will be a pleasure to watch an elephant get trained by other elephants. Facility for elephant ride has been arranged to promote tourism. Kodanad is only 11 Kms from Perumbavoor.

Munnar  
Munnar is a small hill station set amongst the Kannan Devan hills. It is famous for its lush green surroundings, lakes, reservoirs, forests, and tea estates. The quiet environs of Munnar attract the traveler to relax in the lap of Mother Nature. Munnar also beacons the adventure-seeking traveler, who is interested in paragliding. It has some of the highest tea estates in the world. Munnar, also known as Kashmir of the South is only 100 Kms from Perumbavoor.

 
Wagamon
Located 75 kms from Perumbavoor and 65 kms from Idukki town, Wagamon is a hill station perched at an altitude of 1100 m above sea level. A trekker's delight, Wagamon is surrounded by beautiful meadows, valleys and tea gardens, which are all spellbinding works of nature. Wagamon is engulfed by green tea gardens and deep puzzling valleys. All the trekking enthusiasts enjoy climbing this 1100m tall hill. An ideal tourist spot, the place is famous for the unique rock formations at Thangal Para, the Indo-Swiss project and Kurisumala Ashram.

Thekkady  
125 Kms from Perumbavoor. This is one of the most prestigious regions on the high ranges of the western ghats. One of the world's most fascinating natural wildlife sanctuaries, the Periyar reserve is noted for its geomorphology, diverse wildlife and beautiful landscape. The drive to Thekkady itself is enchanting as the road winds through Tranquil countryside, rich plantations and thick jungles. The sanctuary, declared a tiger reserve in 1978 under the project tiger scheme, attracts travelers from all over the world.

 

Kalady

Kalady is the birth place of Adi Sankaracharaya the great Indian Philosopher who lived in the 8th century is 45 Kms from Cochin. It is situated on the banks of river Periyar and there are two shrines in memory of Sree Sankaracharaya. One dedicated to him as Dakshina Moorthi and the other to the Goddess Sharada. Adi Sankara's Shrined in Kalady are open to all pilgrims irrespective of Religion and caste. Kalady is only 7 Kms away from our premise.

Cherai  
One of the must visit places of Ernakulam is the Cherai Beach. Bordering the nearby Vypeen Island, which is also an ideal location for swimming. The long stretch of golden sand on the shore, make it one of the cleanest beach in Kerala. The tourism department have taken various steps to cater to the requirement of the visitors. Sports activities like Skiing, Para-gliding etc are arranged here, under guidance of experts. Cherai is 36 Kms away from our premise.

 
Athirapally
40 Kms from Perumbavoor and East of Chalakudy, near the entrance to the Sholayar forest ranges, is the beautiful waterfalls of Athirapally. This waterfalls is a place of scenic beauty, and is of 80 feet high. The Vazhachal water falls is only 5 kms away from the Athirappally falls.There are water theme parks, on the way to these beautiful falls. Where young ones can have lot of fun, along with their elders.

Guruvayoor  
The fourth biggest (number of devotees per day) temple in India after Badari, Puri and Thirupathi. The deity is Lord Maha Vishnu with four arms. The devotees worship him as Lord Krishna, the complete man incarnation of Lord Maha Vishnu. The glory and greatness of this temple is special – having a powerful deity, a charming and very sacred idol installed, high degree of divinity of the place, the very rare combination of Shiv-Parvathi temple etc. Guruvayoor is approximately 72 Kms away from our premise.
